Project Overview
Welcome to the Virtual Public Meeting for the NE J Street Interchange. The project proposes to construct a new interchange on Interstate 49 and extend NE J Street northward from Tiger Boulevard across I-49 for approximately 1.1 miles. This will require construction of two bridges, one across Shewmaker Creek and one across I-49. The proposed NE J Street is classified as an arterial boulevard on the City Master Street Plan consisting of four lanes with a raised center median and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.

Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, this Virtual Public Meeting was a web-based format (no in-person meeting). The public meeting materials were available beginning February 13, 2022 and comments were requested by March 4, 2022.

Comments on this project could have been submitted in several ways, including but not limited to mail, email, and the online form. Additionally, oral comments could have been submitted by calling (501) 823-0730. The public meeting comment period ended Friday, March 4, 2022.

Project staff gave a presentation regarding the project. The presentation included both audio and visual components and was held in English. After the presentation, the project team responded to questions and comments from attendees.
